Questions We Get a Lot About Infrared Saunas
Far infrared saunas use carbon or mica heating panels to emit infrared wavelengths that warm your body directly rather than heating the surrounding air to extreme temperatures like a traditional steam sauna. This means far infrared sessions typically run at lower ambient temperatures — making them more comfortable for longer use — while still delivering deep, penetrating heat. If you find steam saunas too intense or humid, a far infrared model is often the preferred choice.
EMF stands for electromagnetic field, the energy emitted by any electrical device including heating panels. Low EMF sauna panels are engineered to minimize this output so you can enjoy longer sessions with greater peace of mind. All of our infrared saunas are built with low-EMF heating technology, and product listings clearly call out this spec so you can compare before you buy.
Each app-compatible sauna connects to your home Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and pairs with a dedicated smartphone app, letting you power the unit on, set your target temperature, adjust session timers, and even control chromotherapy lighting from your phone. This means your sauna can be pre-heated and ready by the time you walk in, removing any waiting around. Setup is handled by you at home using the included instructions and your device's app store.
We offer Free Shipping on Most Orders Within the Continental U.S. (Excludes AK/HI), and infrared saunas are covered under our 30-Day Return policy. We recommend reviewing all dimensions and electrical requirements listed on the product page before purchasing to make sure your space is ready.
About Our App Controlled Infrared Saunas
Infrared saunas represent a significant step forward from conventional steam and dry heat models. Rather than heating the air around you, they use infrared heating panels — typically made from carbon, mica, or a combination of both — to deliver warmth directly, allowing for comfortable sessions at lower ambient temperatures. This makes them accessible to a wider range of people, including those who find traditional high-heat saunas difficult to tolerate for extended periods. When choosing an infrared sauna for home use, key factors include the number of occupants the cabin is sized for, the wood species used in construction (as it affects both durability and heat retention), heating panel type and placement, EMF output ratings, and whether the unit offers smart connectivity for remote control. Additional features like chromotherapy lighting and integrated audio can meaningfully improve the overall experience. Whether you are creating a dedicated wellness corner indoors or adding a feature to an outdoor living space, an infrared sauna is a long-term investment in your home environment — and knowing what to look for before you buy ensures you get the right fit.
